The 2004 MDX received a modest power increase to 265 horsepower, credited with a top speed of 137 mph and a 0 to 60 time of 7.1 seconds. Dual tail pipes replaced the single one, side curtain airbags were added, and new headlights, tail lights and wheels appeared. Some chrome trim took a matte finish to set it apart from the polished look of earlier years, in a refresh that kept the same three-row body.
