The 2000 3.5RL had a larger navigation screen, which came with a changeover to DVD map databases that were easy to replace. Emissions systems were revised so the car could be certified as a low emission vehicle, and the traction control system gave way to Vehicle Stability Assist, an electronic stability program that uses the anti-lock brakes and traction control to counter understeer and oversteer in hard cornering.
