The 1998 Acura NSX was the second year of the 3.2 litre engine and six-speed manual. Car and Driver tested a coupe in its August 1998 issue and found the NSX the fastest car it had ever tested in North America. Honda won back-to-back CART IndyCar championships with Alex Zanardi in 1997 and 1998, and the Zanardi Edition NSX that followed honored them. The 1998 car also had the six-speed manual gearbox and larger brake rotors that arrived in 1997.
