For 1959 the Fury became Plymouth's top range with a full array of sedans and coupes, and the Belvedere moved down to the middle range. The Savoy became the least expensive model, and the Plaza was discontinued. The Belvedere had therefore lost its position as the top of the full size line after 1958, and it kept the styling of the 1957 body for its final full size generation before the 1960 redesign.
