1957 Plymouth Belvedere

Automobiles

The 1957 model year had high sales for the Chrysler Corporation and for Plymouth, and the design was so revolutionary that Chrysler promoted it with the slogan Suddenly, it's 1960. The standard six cylinder engine was the Powerflow 6 flathead on every body but the convertible, which was V8 only. Chrysler's Torsion Aire front suspension was introduced, and Plymouth offered a choice of single or dual headlights. A 1957 Belvedere was sealed in a time capsule at Tulsa, Oklahoma.
