The M6 is the performance version of the BMW 6 Series from the company's M division. It began in 1983 as the M635CSi of the E24 coupe with the straight six engine adapted from the M1 supercar, went away for sixteen years, returned in 2005 with a V10 on the E63 and E64, and ended in 2019 with a twin turbo V8 on the F06, F12 and F13 before the M8 took over its place. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 3 generations: the E24 M635CSi and M6 (1983 to 1989); the E63 and E64 M6 (2005 to 2010); the F06, F12 and F13 M6 (2012 to 2019).
