In 2016 the engine of the Competition Package was upgraded to 441 kilowatts, or 591 horsepower, with 700 newton meters of torque. That gave a 0 to 100 kilometers per hour time of 3.8 seconds for the coupe and the Gran Coupe versions. It was one of the last updates to the M6 before it was discontinued in 2019, when it made way for the M8. The torque of the Competition Pack engine rose from 680 to 700 newton meters.
