The X6 is BMW's mid size luxury crossover with a coupe style sloping roof, the car that BMW calls a Sports Activity Coupe and that began the genre. It shares its platform with the X5 and is built with it at the plant in Greer, South Carolina. The first generation, the E71, went on sale in 2008, the F16 followed in 2014 and the G06 in 2019, and an X6 M has been offered in each generation. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 3 generations: the E71, E72 (2008 to 2014); the F16, F86 (2014 to 2019); the G06, F96 (2019 to 2026).
