The F16 X6 gave way in 2019 to the G06 third generation, which was revealed in July 2019. The second generation had been launched at the Paris Motor Show in 2014 and offered an eight speed automatic transmission and a larger luggage bay, and had been built at the Greer plant in South Carolina. The G06 became available from November 2019. The F16 generation was thus the model on sale from 2014 to 2019, five years.
