Airbus Helicopters SAS, formerly Eurocopter S.A. and trading as the Eurocopter Group, is the helicopter manufacturing division of Airbus and the largest in its industry by revenue and turbine helicopter deliveries, holding 48 percent of the worldwide market as of 2020. It was formed in 1992 as Eurocopter through the merger of the helicopter divisions of Aérospatiale and DASA, owned 70 and 30 percent by the two parents, and it became a wholly owned subsidiary of Airbus when the merger of Aérospatiale and DASA in 2000 founded Airbus. The company was rebranded Airbus Helicopters on 2 January 2014. Its head office is at Marseille Provence Airport in Marignane, France, with main facilities there and in Donauwörth, Germany, and further plants in Spain, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Romania, the United Kingdom and the United States. It and its predecessors introduced the Fenestron shrouded tail rotor on the Gazelle in 1968.
