The Mystique was the Mercury version of the Ford Contour, the North American Mondeo, sold for the 1995 to 2000 model years as a four door sedan replacing the Mercury Topaz. It was built at Kansas City Assembly in Missouri and Cuautitlan in Mexico in two trim levels, GS and LS, and Mercury pulled it from the lineup early in the 2000 model year.
