Plymouth Barracuda (second generation)

Automobiles

The second Barracuda kept the Valiant underneath but received its own sheet metal, with Coke bottle side contours, wider wheel openings and a more streamlined fastback roof with a much smaller rear window. A convertible and a notchback coupe joined the fastback. Engines grew from the original 273 V8 to a 340 and a 383, and the 'Cuda package arrived in 1969. New federal safety rules also left a mark, and the side marker lamps and backup lights tell the three model years apart. Its model years run from 1967 to 1969.
