Plymouth placed more emphasis on performance for 1969. The 383 was raised to 330 horsepower, the Mod Top vinyl roof with a floral pattern was offered, and a new trim package called the 'Cuda was introduced, based on the Formula S and available with the 340, the 383 and, new that year, the 440 Super Commando V8. Small changes were made to the grille, and rectangular side marker reflectors replaced the lamps.
