The Sport Trac was the first mid size pickup truck that Ford built, a crew cab pickup made from a lengthened Explorer chassis with a short plastic composite bed, sold in North America from the 2001 to the 2010 model year with no 2006 model. A first generation ran to 2005 and a redesigned second generation with independent rear suspension began in 2007. It ended when the Explorer became a crossover. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the first generation (2001 to 2005); the second generation (2007 to 2010).
