Mitsubishi Lancer (first generation)

Automobiles

The first Lancer, the A70, was launched in February 1973 to fill the gap between the Minica kei car and the larger Galant, with 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 liter four cylinder engines in two and four door sedans, a hardtop coupe and a long running station wagon. The sporting 1600 GSR started the Lancer's rally history, winning the Safari Rally twice and the Southern Cross Rally four times. It was sold as the Dodge Colt in the United States and the Colt Lancer in Europe. Its model years run from 1973 to 1978.
