Mitsubishi Lancer (second generation)

Automobiles

The second generation, the Lancer EX, was presented in Japan in 1979, with revised styling and integrated plastic bumpers like the Galant and Sapporo, available only as a four door sedan. Its 1.4 and 1.6 liter engines used the MCA-Jet clean air system and Silent Shaft balancing shafts, and a 1.8 liter Sirius 80 and a turbocharged 135 PS version followed in 1980, with an intercooler adding up to 160 PS in 1983. Todd Motors assembled it in New Zealand from 1980. Its model years run from 1979 to 1981.
