The third Eterna was fully changed in September 1983, as a sedan, with a four door hardtop added in October 1984. It was a front wheel drive car, and in February 1986 the engines were changed to Cyclone engines and a V6 two liter was added. The hardtop was built until the Diamante arrived in May 1990. The image character was the actor Ken Takakura, who also did the Galant Sigma at the time. Its model years run from 1983 to 1987.
