In October 1984 a hardtop was added to the Eterna, in the same way as to the Galant. The Eterna of 1984 was in its second year as the third generation, a front wheel drive sedan and now also a four door hardtop, sold at Car Plaza as the sister of the Galant, whose hardtop succeeded the Galant Lambda and led to the later Diamante and Sigma. The Eterna sedan of this generation was a front wheel drive car and a hardtop was added in 1984.
