The Astra is a compact car that Opel has developed and produced since 1991, launched in September 1991 as the direct replacement for the Kadett, sold as the Vauxhall Astra in the United Kingdom and rebadged as the Holden Astra, Saturn Astra and Buick Excelle XT, and now in its sixth generation under PSA and Stellantis.
