Two special versions of the Astra G were offered from 2000, the Astra Coupe and the Astra Cabrio, both of them designed and built by Bertone in Italy, and approximately 90,000 coupes were produced. The manufacturing of the Astra saloon and Caravan continued at Opel's Gliwice plant in Poland after German production ended. In Australia and New Zealand it was sold as the Holden Astra Classic. The Astra Coupe and Cabrio built by Bertone arrived in 2000.
