The sixth generation Astra was unveiled on 13 July 2021 and went on sale on 12 November 2021. As the first Astra developed by PSA Group, it is based on the third generation of the EMP2 platform, which made its wheelbase grow by 55 millimeters. In November 2022 the Opel and Vauxhall Astra Electric debuted. Its model years run from 2022 on. It was the first Astra developed by PSA Group, then Stellantis.
