The 2004 RSX was the last model year in which the Type-S used the 200 horsepower K20A2 engine, the figure the article gives for 2002 to 2004. The base RSX kept the 160 horsepower K20A3. This was also the year the TSX sedan joined the Acura range as the second car to replace an Integra body style, so the RSX no longer stood alone as the entry-level car. The body style stayed a liftback coupe, and the car remained the sporty compact in Acura's showroom.
