The second generation Innova, designated the AN140 series, was launched in November 2015 in Indonesia, known there as the Kijang Innova Reborn and launched in Jakarta on 23 November 2015. In India it was showcased at the Auto Expo in February 2016 and marketed as the Innova Crysta, launched in May 2016 with a 2.8 liter and a 2.4 liter diesel engine. The updated Innova Crysta was launched in India on 24 November 2020, and the facelift model of the Kijang Innova was released on 15 October 2020.
