On 16 January 2017 the diesel engined Q grade of the Kijang Innova was replaced by the Venturer grade, and in May 2017 Toyota launched the Innova Touring Sport in India. The lineup in India received an update in October 2017 with a 6 speed manual transmission. It was model year 3 of 6 in the Toyota Innova (second generation, AN140), 2015 to 2021, coming after the 2016 model year and before the 2018 model year.
