In September 1996 the X100 series was released. In August 1997 the Super Lucent L was launched, in January 1998 the Cresta 2.5 L full time 4WD model Super Lucent Four N became available as a special edition, and in December 1998 an Excellent Edition was added. In July 1999 a Super Lucent L based on the 2.0 and 2.5 liter engines was launched, production ended in June 2001, and sales were discontinued in July 2001.
