The Impreza is Subaru's compact car, sold since 1992 as the replacement for the Leone and now in its sixth generation. It has always carried a boxer flat four engine, and all wheel drive became standard on every North American Impreza from 1997. Its turbocharged WRX and WRX STI versions made Subaru's name in rallying. The fifth generation was the first made for North America at Subaru of Indiana Automotive in Lafayette. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 6 generations: the first generation (1992 to 2000); the second generation (2001 to 2007); the third generation (2008 to 2011); the fourth generation (2012 to 2016); the fifth generation (2017 to 2023); the sixth generation (2024 on).
