The Rover 16 name was used for two mid sized Rover cars. The 16/50 was announced on 21 May 1926 to supplement the 14/45, with a larger bore rated at 16 horsepower for tax purposes, and remained available into 1929. The Rover 16 of mid August 1936 replaced the Meteor 16, shared the 14's body with a larger engine, returned after the war in 1945 and was replaced by the Rover P3 in 1948. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the 16/50 (1926 to 1929); the Sixteen (1936 to 1947).
