General Motors redesigned its A body line for 1968 with more curvaceous, semi fastback styling, a revival of the streamlining used on all General Motors products from 1942 to 1950. The standard GTO engine's rating rose to 350 horsepower in 1968, the Judge package arrived in 1969, the 455 appeared in 1970, and in 1972 the GTO reverted to an option package for the LeMans. Its model years run from 1968 to 1972.
