The Volaré was introduced mid cycle for the 1976 model year as the successor to the Plymouth Valiant and Duster, on the all new Chrysler F platform. It came as a four door wagon, a four door sedan or a two door coupe in three trim levels, with the Premier as the top trim and the Road Runner as a performance package for coupes. Wind tunnel testing shaped its body, and its twin was the Dodge Aspen. Its model years run from 1976 to 1980.
