The first Furys were a sub-series of the Plymouth Belvedere, sold only as a two door hardtop in sandstone white with gold anodized aluminum trim in 1956 and 1957, and in buckskin beige in 1958. They had special interiors and the largest engines in the line. The 1957 cars were restyled with longer, wider bodies, very large tailfins and torsion bar front suspension, and the 1958 optional Golden Commando 350 had two four barrel carburetors. Its model years run from 1956 to 1958.
