The 1957 Furys were restyled, longer and wider with very large vertical tailfins and a new torsion bar front suspension in place of coil springs. The new styling boosted sales, but quality control suffered on all Chrysler products brought quickly to market. The Fury was still sold only as a sandstone white hardtop with gold trim. The increased sales came despite quality control problems on all Chrysler products, which were rushed to market before their designs had been fully developed.
