The Delta 88 was the upscale version of the Oldsmobile 88, a full size car that the Oldsmobile Division of General Motors produced until 1999, taking its name in 1965 from the Convair F 102 Delta Dagger fighter, marketed as the Eighty Eight from 1989, and moving through a big body era, a 1977 downsizing and a 1986 change to front wheel drive. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 5 generations: the sixth generation, 1965 to 1970 (1965 to 1970); the seventh generation, 1971 to 1976 (1971 to 1976); the eighth generation, 1977 to 1985 (1977 to 1985); the ninth generation, 1986 to 1991 (1986 to 1991); the tenth generation, 1992 to 1999 (1992 to 1999).
