The Twelve appeared quietly in autumn 1934, essentially a Ten Four with a bigger engine for five pounds extra, on the longer wheelbase chassis of the Ten Six, with a long stroke 1548 cubic centimeter engine that was taxed as 11.98 horsepower. The series II came in May 1935 with a lower body, the series III in August 1937 with a booted shape, and it stayed in production until the war and was replaced by the Oxford MO. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 3 generations: the Twelve Four (1934 to 1935); the Series II (1935 to 1937); the Series III (1937 to 1948).
