The Mini Hatch is the supermini that BMW launched in 2001 as the successor to the original Mini, a retro styled front engined, front wheel drive family of three door hatchbacks and two door convertibles, with a five door added from the third generation. It was designed by Frank Stephenson, built mainly at Plant Oxford in Cowley, and renamed the Mini Cooper with the fourth generation of 2024. Battery electric versions have been sold since 2019. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 4 generations: the R50, R52, R53 (2001 to 2006); the R56, R57 (2006 to 2013); the F55, F56, F57 (2013 to 2023); the F65, F66, F67, J01 (2023 to 2026).
