2006 Mini Hatch (R50, R52, R53)

Automobiles

The first generation Mini Hatch ended its run in 2006, when BMW introduced the all new second generation in November 2006 on a re engineered platform. The R50 had been made at Oxford since April 2001 and the first generation convertible continued until 2008. The Mini Hatch had been produced as three door hatchbacks and two door convertibles since the start. The R56 was introduced as the Mk II to replace the first generation hatchback.
