2003 Mini Hatch

Automobiles

The Mini was developed by Rover Group at Gaydon and by BMW in Munich between 1995 and 2001, and the engine for the first cars was a Tritec unit from a Chrysler and BMW joint venture. In 2003 the Mini Hatch was in its third year, built at the Plant Oxford at Cowley in Oxfordshire in the old Pressed Steel part of the Morris Motors site. It was built at the Oxford plant at Cowley rather than the Longbridge works the Rover project had planned.
