Mercury Grand Marquis (third generation)

Automobiles

The third generation Grand Marquis went on sale in late 1997 for the 1998 model year with an evolutionary update to the exterior and interior, sharing only the roof stamping and doors with its predecessor. Ford and Mercury returned to a shared rear roofline, using the formal rear styling of the Grand Marquis, a configuration that stayed in use through 2011. It kept the 4.6 liter Modular V8 and the four speed 4R70W. Its model years run from 1998 to 2002.
