The Jaguar XJ is a luxury saloon that Jaguar introduced in 1968, notable as the last car developed under the direct personal oversight of company founder William Lyons. It went on to serve as Jaguar's flagship sedan across several successive generations for more than fifty years, combining a comparatively sporting driving character with traditional luxury car refinement, before production of the model ended in 2019.
