Jaguar X350

Automobiles

The Jaguar X350 is the third generation of the Jaguar XJ, a full-size four-door luxury saloon car manufactured and marketed worldwide by Jaguar Cars for model years 2003 to 2009, carrying the internal designation X350 and X358 after its 2007 facelift. It was available with a six-speed automatic transmission and a range of petrol and diesel engines, V6, V8 and supercharged V8, in short wheelbase and long wheelbase body configurations, the long car being the longest saloon Jaguar had made. Its full aluminium unibody was among the first in a mass-produced automobile, with a bodyshell 40 percent lighter and 50 percent stiffer than its predecessor, and its conservative styling recalled the slatted grille of the original 1968 XJ. Made at Jaguar's Browns Lane plant in Coventry, the last Jaguar built there, it debuted at the 2002 Paris Motor Show and largely coincided with Ford's Premier Automotive Group ownership of Jaguar. Production ended in March 2009 after seven years with a total of 83,566.
