The fourth-generation Honda Prelude was introduced in Japan on 19 September 1991 and in Europe from early 1992. It had a 58 percent front and 42 percent rear weight distribution, and the four wheel steering system was changed to an electronic version. The 4 cylinder engine grew to 2.2 liters for the base S and the DOHC VTEC models, with a 2.3 liter for the Si, and the generation marked the end of the pop up headlights. Its styling approach was similar to the Honda Ascot Innova of the same period. Each model year of this generation has its own page.
