The Vedette was a single generation of seven model years, introduced at the Paris show in 1948 and made at Poissy with a 2158 cc Aquilon side valve V8. Parts came from subcontractors after the war, which hurt its quality, and it was refreshed in 1950 and 1952. A luxury Vendome appeared in 1953 and the Abeille estate was added. Its model years run from 1948 to 1954. The Vedette was a large Ford built in France, designed in Detroit and fitted with a small V8 engine.
