The second generation was due to appear for 2007 but quality issues pushed it to the 2008 model year, and it was a redesign of the Super Duty with a new look and a revised powertrain, a 6.4 litre Power Stroke diesel and the Ford SYNC system from 2009, and an F-450 pickup. Its model years run from 2008 to 2010. The Super Duty is a dedicated heavy duty variant of the F Series, sold above the F 150 with Power Stroke diesel engines as an option.
