In 2009 the Ford SYNC entertainment system became available on select trim levels, adding Bluetooth hands free calling, wireless stereo audio streaming and a USB port for the first time on the Super Duty. A Platinum name returned as a trim level for the F 150 in 2009. Ford assembles the trucks at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville and at Ohio Assembly in Avon Lake. The Super Duty is a dedicated heavy duty variant of the F Series, sold above the F 150 with Power Stroke diesel engines as an option.
