The fourth Dart was substantially redesigned for 1967, together with its sister model, the Plymouth Valiant. The newer body was trimmer and extremely popular, and Dart sales surpassed those of compacts from Ford and General Motors. The performance GTS arrived in late 1967, the Swinger two door hardtop followed in 1969, the Swinger 340 and the Demon appeared, the convertible ended in 1970, and the Dart SE came in 1974. The Dart was replaced by the Aspen in late spring of 1976. Its model years run from 1967 to 1976.
