Chrysler 300 letter series (third generation)

Automobiles

The third generation brought Chrysler's lightweight unibody construction and sharper edged styling with outward tilting fins, and the 300F of 1960 offered the 375 horsepower cross ram version of the 413 wedge engine. It had four individual leather bucket seats and a full length console, an idea from the Norseman concept of 1956, and the AstraDome instrument cluster. The 300G restyled the grille in 1961, and the 300H of 1962 lost its fins and its place as a separate series in the lineup. Its model years run from 1960 to 1962.
