The Acura Vigor was the North American form of the Japanese Honda Vigor sedan of 1989 to 1995. It was built on a stretched chassis rather than the Accord's and carried a longitudinally mounted 2.5 litre five-cylinder engine driving the front wheels, which gave it a weight balance of 60 to 40 front to rear. It went on sale in June 1991 as a 1992 model in LS and GS trims. The version for America was longer and broader than the Japanese 2.0 litre car, which stayed within the compact size class.
