For the 1994 model year Acura revised the Vigor in response to the reviews: it gained rear seat room, a softer suspension, and a steering rack re-engineered to isolate the driver from road imperfections, all to make the car more like the Lexus ES. The changes were not enough, because buyers still preferred the Legend as a sports sedan. Sales stayed poor, and production ended on May 13, 1994, after which the Acura TL took over the Vigor's place in the range for 1996.
