The second-generation NSX kept the name and the mid-engine layout but became a petrol-electric hybrid: a 3.5 litre twin-turbo V6 and three electric motors, two of them driving the front wheels, sending power through a nine-speed dual-clutch gearbox to give 573 horsepower and all-wheel drive. Unlike the first car, which came from Japan, it was engineered and put together at Honda's plant in Marysville, Ohio. It reached sales in 2016, received a mild update for 2019, and ended in 2022 with the 602 horsepower Type S.
