The new Caddy based Transit Connect was released in the United Kingdom and Europe in late 2024, the third generation made by Volkswagen in Poland. In North America the smallest Ford van was by then the Transit T150, as the Transit Connect had been dropped after the 2023 model year. The Transit Connect was Ford's compact panel van, developed by Ford of Europe as a dedicated commercial vehicle. It sat between the Transit Courier and the Transit Custom in the Ford Transit range.
