In December 2023 it was revealed that the investigation of the fraud problem at Daihatsu, the source of the OEM supply, would widen from the six models known until then to almost all models including the Chiffon, and the shipment of all the Daihatsu made models in Japan and abroad was to be stopped. The Chiffon of 2023 was in its fifth year as a kei super height wagon made at the Daihatsu Shiga plant.
